Speedy Ironing Service

Dear Customers,

Speedy Ironing Service has been serving the Redlands and surrounds for 30 years, and some of you have been with us for all that time and we are now looking after your children as well and it has been a pleasure to do so.

Regrettably, as costs have increased over the last 5 years, eg petrol prices, electricity and now even wages have made a 5.7% jump, we cannot carry these increases.

The GOVERNMENT HAS MADE our ironing ladies wages increase to more than we are charging you, to $30.10 per hour, which makes it good for the employees but impossible for our business.  This cost does not include the $3.00 per hour GST that we must collect for the government nor does it include the superannuation payable on top of the wages.

Our only choice is to increase our hourly rate from $44.00 per hour to $49.50 per hour.

As the government has made the increase almost immediately from the first wage in July, we must make our increase from this week or we will be running at a loss, which is unreasonable.

I hope this does not make the end of our service to you as I take great pride in looking after each and every one of my customers.
